Day 1 - October 15th--San Jose to Boston via JetBlue

When Randi and I both decided to retire we agreed to plan a special trip with our husbands in the fall when school would be back in session.  It seemed appropriate to plan a "fall colors" trip to New England and this is the story of our odyssey.

We had had several "planning meetings" in advance where we gathered around a table with our laptops, maps, and guidebooks planning our route and the things we most wanted to see.  We had an organized schedule showing where we would be each night and then what we wanted to see on the way there.  Those planning sessions were fun and of course always included food!

Bill and I drove to Randi and David's where we loaded up the neighbor's truck and he drove us to the airport for our 9PM flight on Jet Blue direct from San Jose to Boston.  We had 4 fifty pound suitcases and miscellaneous carry-ons but managed to get checked in and settled in plenty of time.

We were starting off with David having a cold and me having a problem with extreme tinnitus in my right ear but we were optimistic that we'd be fine.
